The Zodiac represents the twelve zones along the annual ecliptic path that the sun takes through the heavens and constellations and is recognized as the first known celestial co-ordinate system. The word Zodiac comes from the Latin word zodiacus (derived from Greek) meaning the “circle of animals” .
